Pesta Pakan is a yearly festival held in the district of Pakan since 1988 based on the concept "Sarawak Cergas" (Active Sarawak) that emphasies on the core value of being active, harmonious and progressive. That forms the basis of the name of the theme as atated in the logo of Pesta Pakan.

     Ever since this auspicious festival was carried out way back since 1988, it had and shall continue to present various programmes and activities that eccompasses sport and game, entertainment, culture and arts as well as the emphasis on socio-economic and physical developments.

     It is the eltimate goal of this programme to develop and cultivate an active healthy and progressive society as well as to preserve the unique culture and tradition and harmony amongth the multi-ethnic society.
